Full-Roll Buying Guide: PPF 15 m vs Vinyl 17 m

Before buying a full roll, agree two things with your installer: the exact film and the cutting plan for the job. Roll length alone does not tell you whether there is enough usable material for a particular vehicle.
The VORLUX full-roll ranges below share a 1.52 m width. Clear PPF and Color PPF are 15 m long; Vinyl Wrap Film is 17 m long. These are film-supply products, not installation packages.
Start with the correct roll format

For these listings, quantity means whole rolls, not metres. A quantity of two means two complete rolls of the selected product. Cut lengths and installation are not included.
When comparing quotes, check that both describe the same material, dimensions and purchasing unit. A price per metre cannot be compared directly with a full-roll total. Nor should the longer Vinyl roll be treated as a substitute for PPF: the material and application method are different.
Turn the panel scope into an order quantity
Ask the installer to confirm which panels are included before choosing the number of rolls. “Full wrap” can leave practical questions unanswered, such as whether returns, recesses or additional trim areas are part of the job.
Keep the panel measurements and proposed layout with the job record. Ask the installer to check:
- Panel fit: whether each required piece fits the usable film width and planned cut length.
- Orientation: whether the chosen product has direction or appearance requirements that affect the layout.
- Allowances: the material needed for the agreed edges, seams, trimming and any planned spare pieces.
- Purchase quantity: the whole rolls needed to carry out that layout, including the installer's stated allowance.
Total square metres are not a cutting plan. A calculation can show enough area while an individual piece still does not fit the available width or layout. There is no universal wastage percentage or one-roll promise in this guide. Use the selected film's current instructions and the installer's assessment of the actual job.
Keep one specification record for purchasing
Use this suggested record to carry the agreed job into the order. It is a purchasing checklist, not a technical cutting template or a completed customer example.
- Job and scope: vehicle make, model and year; panels included and excluded.
- Material identity: Clear PPF, Color PPF or Vinyl Wrap Film; full product title and page link.
- Selected option: Clear PPF finish and thickness, or the exact colour name, reference and confirmed finish for a coloured film.
- Appearance approval: corresponding physical sample checked, where needed, and the approval date. Do not substitute a PPF swatch for a similarly named Vinyl film.
- Installer's quantity: layout reference, required length, allowance and reason, and the number of whole rolls to order.
- Delivery: country, postcode, required material-arrival date and current supplier estimate.
- Open questions: unresolved specification or timing points, who will confirm them, and the answer received before payment.

Check the order before payment—and the roll before cutting
Compare the selected listing and basket with the specification record: product, option, roll dimensions and quantity. Confirm the destination, currency and final order total rather than carrying an old quote into a new order. Review the current Delivery and Duties information before committing to an installation date.
On arrival, check the packaging, roll label, product identity, finish and visible condition against the order. If anything appears wrong or damaged, stop before cutting or installing and contact Prime Wraps with the order number and clear photographs. Keep the packaging and follow the current Return and Refund Policy, including obtaining return instructions before sending anything back.

Is a full roll enough for a whole car?
Not necessarily. The vehicle, panel scope, film orientation, cutting layout and allowances determine the quantity. Have the installer confirm the plan before ordering; 15 m or 17 m is a roll length, not a vehicle-coverage guarantee.
Does quantity one mean one metre?
No. For the full-roll products linked here, quantity one is one complete roll of the selected product. Check the dimensions and selected option before paying.
Can I order Vinyl using the PPF product reference?
Do not assume the reference identifies both materials. Save the full product title and link, and confirm whether the order is for TPU Color PPF or Vinyl Wrap Film. Similar colour names do not make them interchangeable.
