Reordering Vinyl Wrap Film: Product, Batch and Colour Checks

If a workshop needs more vinyl to finish a job or replace a wrapped panel, the previous order is the starting point. Find the exact film identity before choosing another roll from a colour thumbnail.

Keep two questions separate: is this the product originally supplied, and has the installer approved its appearance for the proposed work? A matching name or reference helps identify the film. It does not, by itself, confirm how new material will look beside the installed wrap.

Start with the original order and roll label

Retrieve the order confirmation, full product name, product-page link and any photograph of the original roll label. Include a batch or lot identifier if the label provides one. If that information is missing, say so rather than guessing from a similar colour.

Tell the supplier whether you are completing an unfinished job or considering a later panel replacement. Include when the original material was bought and which panels the new order is intended for. This gives the enquiry a specific purpose beyond “send the same gold again”.

Keep customer contact and payment details out of label photographs. Provide the original order number through the supplier's order-support route when needed.

Confirm the material family before the colour

The Prime Wraps catalogue contains both Aka Gold Vinyl Wrap Film and Aka Gold TPU Color PPF. They are separate products:

  • Aka Gold Vinyl is listed as a 1.52 m × 17 m full roll for professional dry installation.
  • Aka Gold TPU Color PPF is listed as a 1.52 m × 15 m full roll for professional wet installation.

A shared colour name is not permission to substitute one for the other. Match the material family, full name, finish and listed reference to the original order. Ask Prime Wraps to resolve any difference between the old record, current page and roll label before buying.

Use the Vinyl Wrap Film collection to locate the current listing. Do not assume a renamed, unavailable or similar-looking product is a confirmed replacement.

Ask about the batch without assuming a match

If the original label contains a batch or lot identifier, include it in the enquiry and ask whether the proposed supply can be checked against that record. Do not treat the catalogue product reference as a batch number.

The website's colour listing alone does not confirm that stock from an earlier batch can be supplied. Record the supplier's actual answer, including anything that cannot be verified, before committing to the next job stage.

Have the installer review the physical appearance

For a panel replacement, ask the installer to assess the existing wrap alongside an appropriate physical reference for the proposed material. Tell them the installation date and the panel scope. Do not promise an invisible repair based on an old product photo or a matching reference alone.

If a sample is needed, ask whether one is available for the exact vinyl being considered and what it represents. A sample from a similarly named Color PPF is not a substitute. The gloss, satin and matte vinyl guide explains the separate finish-approval step.

This is a purchasing check, not a repair or application method. The installer should decide whether the proposed material and scope are suitable, using the selected product's current instructions.

Confirm the quantity and supply format

Prime Wraps lists Vinyl Wrap Film in full 1.52 m × 17 m rolls. A request to replace one panel does not establish that a smaller cut length is available. Ask about the actual supply format before quoting the material order.

Have the installer assess the quantity and layout for the agreed work. Neither the size of the damaged panel nor the remaining roll length alone establishes a complete material plan. Use the full-roll buying guide for the wider order and receiving checks.

Send a clear reorder enquiry

Ask Prime Wraps to check your vinyl reorder. Include:

  1. Original order number and approximate purchase date.
  2. Full product name, material family and saved product link.
  3. Roll-label reference and batch or lot identifier, if available.
  4. Intended finish and the physical reference already checked.
  5. Vehicle, panels involved and whether this is completion or replacement work.
  6. Installer-assessed quantity, delivery postcode and required timing.

Confirm the product, available supply and any unresolved appearance questions before placing the order. Keep the answer with the job record so purchasing staff and the installer work from the same information.

Frequently asked questions

Is the same colour name enough to reorder?

No. Match the material family, full product name, finish and reference to the original record. Similar names can appear on separate Vinyl and Color PPF products.

Is the product reference the same as a batch number?

Do not assume so. A catalogue reference identifies a listing. If the roll label has a separate batch or lot identifier, provide that as well and ask the supplier to interpret it.

Can Prime Wraps guarantee supply from my original batch?

That has to be confirmed for the specific enquiry. A current product listing does not establish availability of an earlier batch, and this guide makes no such promise.

Can I order a small piece for one panel?

The current Vinyl listings are for full rolls. Ask Prime Wraps whether another supply format is available before treating it as an option. Have the installer confirm the material requirement for the work.
